Over the past few years, Joe Biden has been dealing with the repercussions of leaked secrets about his alleged influence in his family’s business affairs. The infamous Hunter Biden laptop that was seized by the FBI after its information was leaked to the public has been the primary source of information about Hunter and his father. It shows hundreds of texts, emails, and pictures that not only humiliate the Biden family, but also bring to light several suspicious revelations that could be the smoking gun to end his political chances in 2024.
It was one thing when just far and alt-right news sources like the New York Post, who originally received the laptop’s information from Rudy Giuliani, was reporting on the issue. It simply wasn’t enough to sway voters or prove any wrongdoing by Joe Biden. This trend continued right up into the Republican’s impeachment hearings against the president.
However, now leftist websites sites like Politico are weighing in on the facts that have slowly been trickling out, citing several contradictions to the President’s claims that he never had anything to do with his family’s business practices. Suddenly what was thought to be an inscrutable smear campaign by Biden’s opposition is now looking more like a legitimate accusation. This could make Joe’s re-election campaign, which is already on thin ice thanks to low approval ratings, a losing battle.
“I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period.”
President Joe Biden – Politico
The situation is oddly reminiscent of when Bill Clinton said “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” Because the fact of the matter is, Joe seems to have definitely met with his son’s business partners, according to the emails from Hunter’s laptop.

In Joe’s defense, a lot of the laptop’s evidence is mostly against Hunter, who seemingly used his father’s name and influence for his own gain while simultaneously embarrassing his entire family with other scandals involving hard drug use, solicitation of prostitutes, and having an affair with his brother’s wife. But Joe’s opponents make a good point here – if Joe is willing to cover these accusations up in an effort to protect his family – calling it a “Russian Hoax” – what does that say about him as a president?
Even more insidious is the revelations coming out about republican involvement in the efforts to sweep the problem under the rug. The far/alt right calls this the “uniparty”, an accusation that the two parties work together when they have the same shady interests at heart – covering up political dealings in the private sector, as discussed here in a segment with Sky News Australia’s Maddie Hale who interviews Donald Trump’s former adviser Garrett Ziegler. Zeigler claims to “pull back the curtain on Hunter Biden’s scandalous laptop, revealing its shocking contents.”
In the end, we as voters need to make a tough choice here. Do we support a president who seems to have had private dealings with foreign businesses during his time in government? Is this revelation really that shocking in a political landscape ripe with monetary influence? And is it enough to make us jump ship in 2024 and vote for a different candidate? These are tough subjects to tackle, especially during a crucial time when the democrats are unanimous in their “Anyone but Trump” rhetoric while supporting Joe as our best bet to defeat Donald. Only time will tell.
